This one truly RAWKS!

Tob is one of the principal contributors to the RMX Core Library, so he knows it like the back of his hand. His friend Daniel Forsblom's killer guitar work is one of the highlights of this track.

This is an instant classic that really shows off what's possible with the sound menus of the RMX Core Library. EVERYTHING except bass and synth lead are coming from RMX!

This is a very live and loose sounding track from Guitarist Larry Mitchell. One of the coolest things about this track is that the Trilian Bass parts were played by Larry on his MIDI Guitar, which really makes a big difference in the realism of those bass parts. All of the drums are coming from the Retro Funk SAGE Xpander. Good example of how Retro Funk is very useful for Rock stylus too.

This is great example of what is possible using RMX as a sound module. Everything in this demo was programmed from scratch using Kit mode and the extensive variety of over 10,000 single hit samples in the Sound Menus section.

In fact, the first half of the demo is ONLY using Stylus RMX Core Library sounds....even the Bass scratching, Guitar and Brass sounds!

Oblivious - Mike Zick

The opening Guitar riff on this track is actually coming out of RMX! Mike played the riff on Guitar and then ReCycled the phrase, which creates a REX file that RMX can use. This is a good example of how a little bit of customization can add a lot to an RMX track....especially being able to use the Chaos Designer on the guitar!

Very authentic dub sound created here by the ever-prolific demo god Tobias! Everything in the track is created only with Trilian and the RMX Core Library.

This track has a great laidback vibe to it. Larry's production style is as organic as his wonderful playing. The track opens with Omnisphere and some SAGE converted REX files from an M-Audio REX library called "Tabla Science" and then adds drums from the Backbeat Xpander. More MIDI Guitar played Trilian too!

This one's pretty wicked! Diego starts with showing some of the tonal capability of RMX in the first half of the demo. The break introduces Omnisphere and a drum groove from the Backbeat Xpander. Believe it or not, the vocals are from RMX!!

This one really sounds like a live band! Hans puts the Chaos Designer to effective use on the main drum groove and percussion from the Core Library. How often do you get to have a demo from another developer? This killer track was kindly submitted by none other than Mr. Bitshift himself (creator of the fine pHATmatik Pro, and an in-demand remixer/producer), taking Stylus RMX down an intense hardcore path. The mono synth sounds are coming from the Wine Country/Sequential Pro One softsynth in Pulsar, and the pad and noise effect is from the Pentagon one. Stutter edits were done post-mixdown in Wavelab. An excellent example of how Stylus RMX sounds in a more "pumped-up" context.....thanks Art!

Check out how Diego is using the Pitch Envelopes with inverted filter modulation to change his intro grooves into this odd "breathing beat"...very cool! Also amazing is that all other sounds are coming from very creative ways of using Trilogy. Lots of peppy fun....and very much like Diego's personality too.

An amazing journey through the dark corners in the mind of "master of moodiness" -jdg. Very creative work here with Stylus RMX holding down the foundation, while jdg does wild processing of his vinyl crate through plug-ins to create the overall mood. Evokes strong imagery, but it's up to you to decide whether it's a good dream or a nightmare....maybe a little of both?

Oskar really shows off how great Stylus RMX can be in a latin setting -especially when you know what your doing as a percussion programmer! It's pretty amazing what he pulls off here....the percussion solos and grooves were all created with the Stylus RMX percussion one-shot samples. Enjoy, and if you ever get a chance to catch Oskar's band "Cartaya and the Enclave", don't miss it...muy caliente!

East Coast remixer "MOWO!" (aka Adam Dorn) contributed this demo to show how fast a dance track can be created...this one was almost done in real-time! This first section features a killer "live scratch dj battle simulation", which Adam achieved by performing wildly from a MIDI keyboard with Stylus RMX scratch menus. The second half features some synths from Atmosphere and a more "housey" feel.

This is a killer example of how close you can get to sounding like a mad turntablist with nothing but Stylus RMX, a MIDI Keyboard and a Sequencer. Ned goes nuts here with a huge variety of Scratch techniques and sounds from the Turntable sound menus. It's also a clever example of how Groove Control allows seamless beat mixing and matching of the Stylus RMX grooves that can follow tempo changes in your host sequencer.

Warm Luck - JDG
mp3 stream

This is a cool and vibey end-user demo that we discovered over at KvR-VST.com. Inspired by David Lynch's film Mulholland Drive, jdg sets a dark and brooding mood, with Stylus RMX in full chill mode. The vinyl vibe of the Grooves and the real-time fills he adds really sets the tone and propels the track through interesting changes with the evolving filter sweeps in Stylus RMX. The other sounds in the demo come from Native Instruments' Kontakt and Absynth.

© Spectrasonics and JDG

mp3 stream

This is the demo that we get the most "how did he do that?" questions about. Basically, it was a two man operation. Bob sequenced the uptempo Jazzy track....then EP went to work on it, adding more Stylus RMX parts, using the RMX LFOs for heavy filtering and panning tricks and adding the heavily effected Trilogy Bass part. The real fun then came in the 2-track editing process, with EP doing hundreds of "Squarepusher Razor-blade" edits in Bias Peak, muting beats. Reversing beats and chopping it up to add stutter FX in the mastering. It took some time...but was a lot of fun and it makes for a real "head-turner" of a demo track!
