Usage: No Sound Coming from your Instrument

Check the preview (play) button in the bottom left corner of your Spectrasonics Instrument.

If the preview button is producing sound, make sure your midi controller and your DAW are set to send and receive MIDI on MIDI the same channel (example: MIDI channel 1).

If the preview button is not producing sound you'll need to check the size of your STEAM or SAGE folder to see if it's the correct size as below:

Locate your instrument folder in STEAM or SAGE folder then compare it against the default sizes here:

  • 56-60GB for Omnisphere 2
  • 33-35GB for Trilian
  • 71-78GB for Keyscape
  • 27-30GB for Keyscape Lite
  • 42-45GB for Omnisphere 1
  • 13-15GB for Stylus RMX (SAGE)

If your instrument folder is smaller than the sizes listed above, and you are not using any custom or third-party patches or sounds, reinstall your instrument from the original installation media (discs, USB drives, downloads, etc.)

If you continue to receive error messages or have further problems loading sounds in your instrument, or if you would like to reinstall but are not sure how to back up saved, custom, or third-party patches and sounds, please contact Tech Support at info@spectrasonics.net. Make sure to include the size of your STEAM folder as well as your current software and patch library versions when contacting support.
