Mac - Uninstalling your Instrument

If you would like to uninstall your instrument on Mac, navigate to the following locations and delete the listed files below.

First, locate and delete your STEAM library (if you would only like to uninstall an individual instrument, open STEAM and remove that instrument's folder). By default, your STEAM folder will be in the User Library - follow these instructions to locate it:

1.) Open Finder

2.) Click Go on your menu bar.

3.) Hold Option (or Shift) to reveal the hidden user Library

4.) Navigate to Application Support > Spectrasonics

5.) Remove the STEAM folder (if you would only like to uninstall an individual instrument, open STEAM and remove that instrument's folder)

If you installed your STEAM library in another location, delete the STEAM alias folder in the location above, as well as the STEAM library that you installed in the other location.

Next, we're going to delete the instrument software. Please navigate to each of these locations and delete each of the files below:

Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/

-Remove any Omnisphere, Keyscape, Trilian, or StylusRMX .component.

Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/

-Remove any Omnisphere, Keyscape, Trilian, or StylusRMX .vst

Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/

-Remove any Omnisphere, Keyscape, Trilian, or StylusRMX .vst3

Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug-Ins/

-Remove any Omnisphere, Keyscape, Trilian, or StylusRMX Wrapper.dpm

Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/

-Remove any Omnisphere, Keyscape, Trilian, or StylusRMX .aaxplugin

Macintosh HD/Applications 

-Remove any Omnisphere, Keyscape, Trilian, or StylusRMX .app
