The developers here at Spectrasonics are constantly working on our instruments. If you've been a long-time customer, you may see occasional opportunities to update or upgrade your instruments. However, it’s important to know the difference between updating and upgrading.

Updates are frequently released and they often include compatibility and technical improvements, as well as occasional feature additions. Some examples of updating include updating Omnisphere 3.0.0d to 3.0.2c, or Keyscape 1.5.1c to 1.5.2c. All updates are free. You can access all updates for your instruments via the "Update" tab of your Spectrasonics user account.

Upgrades, on the other hand, represent major version changes of an instrument that often take years to develop. For example, upgrading your Omnisphere 2 license to an Omnisphere 3 license.
