Download Manager: Configuration File Error

If you experience a “Configuration File Error” when using the download manager, please follow the steps in this article.

MAC

On Mac computers, dragging the purple Spectrasonics Download Manager.app outside of the Download Manager window can cause this error. Make sure that you are not moving the "Spectrasonics Download Manager.app" outside of the Download Manager window, and that you are double-clicking it from where it is.

WINDOWS

On Windows computers, this issue is often caused when the zip file has not been extracted before running the download manager. You’ll need to Extract All first, and then run Spectrasonics Download Manager application from within the extracted folder. To Extract All, double click on the Download Manager zip file, then select Extract All from the menu bar, and select Extract, as shown below:

 

Once you Extract All, double-click on the Spectrasonics Download Manager to run it:

Note: You’ll notice the purple icon next to the Spectrasonics Download Manager application. This is how the icon appears once it has been extracted and is ready to be run.
