  • Spectrasonics has gone all out to create the most comprehensive series of live Drum and Percussion Rhythms ever produced. This massive series will literally redefine how drum loops can be used and covers a vast spectrum of music. There have been numerous drum loop products produced in the past, but never before with this level of quantity, quality, flexibility and variety.

Each title in the Classic Drumming series focuses on a unique category of rhythm. Retro Funk and Backbeat are the first two to be released, with more exciting titles in the works. The authenticity in Sound, Feel and Style is unprecedented. Producers Eric Persing and Bob Wilson (Liquid Grooves) went to great lengths to insure that every groove was performed with maximum inspiration and is truly "the real deal".

One of the biggest departures from other drum loop discs is that multiple world-class drummers were each recorded by different top engineers in numerous legendary Hollywood recording studios.

    The featured players include:

Gregg Bissonette (Santana, Joe Satriani, Don Henley)
Alex Acuña (Weather Report, U2, Paul McCartney, Elvis)
Bob Wilson (Liquid Grooves, George Benson, The Crusaders)
John Ferraro (Larry Carlton, David Benoit, Albert Lee, Aaron Neville)
Eric Boseman (Liquid Grooves, James Newton-Howard)
The Escola de Samba Drummers of Rio de Janiero

The revolutionary new Groove Control™ method allows you total control over the players' tempo, feel, time signature, pattern and even the pitch of their drums! Combine a Batucada percussion groove with a vintage swingin' Go-Go loop, over a slamming Zeppelin backbeat! The possibilities are staggering! The power, feel and subtlety of a live drummer, combined with all the editing control of your MIDI sequencer results in a quantum leap in what you can achieve in sampled drum loops.
