Also, "MIDI Learn" has been added as an option to the status display which shows the MIDI CC assignment, if any, of a parameter when you tweak it.

• Display an alert when loading a missing element: when you load a multi or part and the element can't be found, an alert is displayed.

SAGE Converter Version History
SAGE CONVERTER v1.5.1d
• Fixes for Akai/Roland conversions of Groove Control CD-ROM Libraries. Measure "rounding" and MIDI note issues are now corrected. This repairs several looping errors on Spectrasonics libraries.
Please reconvert any of the six Spectrasonics GC libraries that were converted with SAGE Converter v1.5k, including: BackBeat, Retro Funk, Liquid Grooves, Metamorphosis, Bizarre Guitar and Vocal Planet. (However, ILIO libraries and conversions with version SAGE Converter v1.1 do not need reconverting.)
• Bug fix: REX conversion of non 44/48k sample rates works correctly now.
• Bug fix: Import Button now functions correctly with multiple file importing from open file dialog window. (However, you should use drag and drop conversion as it is so much faster and more efficient.)
• Enhancement: Previously there was a limit to how many Rex files you could convert in a library of rex files (2000). Converting more than 2000 also caused the converter to crash. The file limit has been removed.
SAGE CONVERTER v1.5k
• Additional Groove Control CD-ROM Library Support
In addition to the Spectrasonics titles, this version now converts Roland and Akai versions of ILIO Groove Control activated CD-ROM sample libraries including:
Big Bad Beats, Ethno Techno, Stark Raving Beats and NoizBox
NOTE: With version 1.5 of the SAGE Converter, is NOT necessary to reconvert any Spectrasonics Groove Control libraries or REX files that were previously converted with version 1.1 (unless you are specifically having trouble with previous conversions)
• Drag & Drop Batch conversion for REX Suites and Libraries
You can now Drag and Drop entire REX libraries onto the Converter's main window. This version supports a batch REX library conversion if the REX files are organized properly.
You can also drag multiple folders containing REX files onto the converter, which will batch convert a Suite for each folder of REX files.
• Fixed various issues with REX files with non-standard lengths.
• Eject CD (MAC)
Located in the main menu.
NOTE: "Eject CD" menu function cannot eject DVDs. Please remove any DVD from your drive before launching the Converter.
• Suite Name Dialog now responds to the Enter key to begin conversion.
SAGE CONVERTER v1.1i
• Superior Akai and Roland format conversion of all Spectrasonics Groove Control® CD-ROMs...many issues addressed on specific libraries. Please reconvert all Groove Control libraries, this will be important for compatibility with SAGE Xpander patches and song data. (Please note that new conversions of Groove Control libraries are not 100% compatible with songs and multi patches created with version 1.0 SAGE Converter)
• Numerous minor bug fixes and directory creation/location issues addressed.

THE PLUG-IN UPDATER FOR OSX
IMPORTANT NOTE: When you run the updater it installs additional support files in the Application Support Folder, which is why it’s necessary to always run the updater for new computers and not just copy the plug-in as was previously possible.
(If you are a new user, please see the information below on how to install on OSX from the CD-ROMS that come in the product box.)
AUTHORIZATION
When updating from the previous OSX versions, you may need to reauthorize the plug-ins again at http://www.spectrasonics.net/authorization/
The process of authorizing for OSX is the same as explained in the original Users Guide. As of the current versions, one authorization response code will now work for all platforms and hosts on that computer, regardless of the operating system.
NOTE: If you have a dual-boot Mac (OS9/OSX), and have a previous authorization response code from OS9, you can still use that response code for OSX on that same computer -which eliminates an extra step of reauthorizing on the web site.
INSTALLING ON OSX FOR THE FIRST TIME FROM THE CDs
(info for new users)
Three types of files have to be installed on your computer for Spectrasonics Plug-Ins to run successfully in OSX:
The Plug-In:
Application Support Files (which are hidden)
The Sound Data file: ****.dat
Here are the details of how these are installed on your computer.
Step 1 - Installing the Plug-In and Support Files ALL USERS need to run the Updater application. It places the Plug-In and Support Files in their proper locations. The Support Files are a new addition starting with these versions, so ALL USERS must run the installer.
Step 2 The .dat file
Only NEW USERS who have not already
installed the .dat file need to do this step.
The large three gigabyte .dat file which contains all the sound and preset data has to be installed on your computer for your Spectrasonics Instrument Plug-In to work properly. You can install the .dat file on your Mac several different ways:
1. Dual-boot Macs
When running in OS9 (not Classic), you can use the OS9 compatible Installer that is located on Disc 1 of the original CD-ROMS.
2. All OSX Macs
Run the downloadable OSX Joiner application, located in the Updates section of our web site. http://www.spectrasonics.net/updates
*please see the OSX Installation Guide.pdf for more details about using the OSX Joiner Application
Once the .dat file has been created on your computer, locate it and put it in the correct folder. See individual platform READ ME files for the correct folder location for your platform.
(if you don't know the location of the .dat file on your computer, COMMAND-F to find it)
If you'd like to have the .dat file located somewhere else, you can create an alias to the it in the Plug-In folder for your platform. If you don't have the .dat file or an alias to it, the plug-in won't be able to find the presets and you'll get an error message when opening the Spectrasonics plug-in in your host.
To make an alias of the .dat file, hold the COMMAND and OPTION keys simultaneously, and drag the .dat file into the new folder. It's preferable to use this method instead of Command-M "Make Alias", since it avoids the problem of having the word "alias" in the name.
Once you have the files installed properly, you can can open the plug-in within your host and begin the authorization process as described in the Users Guide.
Let us know if you experience any problems.
