The acclaimed sci-fi TV show “HEROES” has become an international phenomenon, and features an evocative musical score from Wendy & Lisa - famed for their roles in Prince’s band during his ground-breaking Purple Rain era. These days, Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman have a production company in Hollywood and do a lot of music scoring for picture. Along with the show HEROES, they also score the show Crossing Jordan, and have done several feature films including Dangerous Minds and Soul Food. Of course, Spectrasonics is always right there on their computers - helping them create any mood they can dream up.
Wendy Melvoin told us, “Spectrasonics has helped us create sonic landscapes that are mind bending and other-worldly. The score to Heroes is full of Atmosphere, Trilogy and Stylus RMX. Spectrasonics instruments are an integral part of the Heroes score. We trust and use them every week!”

Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman in the studio
Having met as kids and played music together all their life, Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman have an interesting shared heritage: both of their respective fathers are renowned LA studio musicians who have played with a “who’s who” of the music world (Michael Melvoin and Gary Coleman).
Wendy & Lisa got their big break writing, recording and touring with Prince and the Revolution on ‘Purple Rain’, ‘Around the World in a Day’, ‘Parade’, and ‘Sign o the Times’. Not only have they gone on to produce such respected artists as Seal, Neil Finn and Me’shell Ndegeocello - the duo are also amazing musicians and songwriters in their own right - with several albums of their own: Fruit at the Bottom, Eroica and Girl Bros.
