San Francisco-based artist/DJ/production duo Gabriel & Dresden - AKA Josh Gabriel and Dave Dresden- are most definitely on a hot-streak. Most recently, when musicality and dance-floor appeal were needed for the remix of Gustavo Santaolalla’s Academy Award Winning “The Wings”, theme to the movie Brokeback Mountain, Gabriel & Dresden were chosen for the job. As DJ’s, Gabriel & Dresden have toured the world playing the best clubs and festivals, were voted in at ..29 in the prestigious DJ Magazine Top 100 poll and broadcast their own weekly show “Gabriel & Dresden Organized Nature” on Sirius Satellite radio.
They went on a world tour behind their debut self-titled album, which features their #1 dance chart single “Tracking Treasure Down”. This album proves that credible underground production techniques, meaningful lyrics, pop hooks and kick drums can all exist in harmony.
We were happy to hear that the album features nice doses of Spectrasonics virtual instruments Atmosphere and Trilogy. And Josh has also been checking out Stylus RMX and liking its ability to play REX files and make beats and sounds that are completely his own.

San Francisco’s Ruby Skye dance club hosted the album release for Gabriel & Dresden earlier this year and now they are getting the dance floors moving in Brazil, Paris, Dublin, London, Budapest and more countries on their 2006 World Tour.
